Oson Prava review: a driving theory test prep platform

avtomaktablar / Tips

Oson Prava

In short: Oson Prava is a private trainer for the driving licence theory test, with a bank of about 1,270 questions. The core features (tickets, exam mode, mistake review) are free and ad-free. As of October 2026, unlimited voice explanations, video lessons and the driving simulator cost from 38,000 soʻm a week. Voice and video content is in Uzbek only. You can prepare for the theory test with Oson Prava, but you still need an instructor to learn to drive.

This is an independent review. Oson Prava does not pay us, and we checked every figure ourselves on 19 October 2026. A short profile with links is in our catalogue: Oson Prava in the online learning section.

What the platform is

Oson Prava launched in early 2026. Its Telegram channel has been running since February, and the iOS app came out in March. One account works in four places:

  • the app.osonprava.uz web app, handy on a computer;
  • Android and iPhone apps;
  • a mini app inside the @OsonPrava_Bot Telegram bot.

You can start without signing up. An account (via Telegram or email) keeps your progress and is needed to buy a plan. Under the terms, one account can be used on up to three devices.

Metric As of October 2026
Google Play 4.7 out of 5, about 22,700 reviews, 500K+ downloads
App Store 4.6 out of 5, about 4,200 ratings
Telegram bot about 286,000 monthly users
Telegram channel about 124,000 subscribers

One caveat from the platform's own terms of use: Oson Prava is not affiliated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the traffic police or the exam centres, and does not guarantee a pass. Questions are based on the traffic rules published on lex.uz and may differ from the official ones in wording, pictures or answer order.

Question bank and practice modes

According to the website, the bank holds 1,268+ questions in 63 tickets, and a 64th ticket with new questions was added in October 2026. The team adds new questions based on reports from people who sat the exam, and says teachers review them.

The modes worth using:

  • Tickets and topics. Tickets have 20 questions each, and topics follow the chapters of the traffic rules: signs, road markings, junctions, overtaking, stopping and parking.
  • Mistake review. Wrong answers go to a separate list.
  • Smart test. It shows the questions you got wrong more often and drops a question once you have answered it correctly three times.
  • "Am I ready for the exam?" 300 questions in a row, with at least 95% correct required. It is strict, which is a good thing.

After you answer, an explanation opens with a link to the relevant rule, and you can tap any sign mentioned in the text to see it. Explanations exist in every interface language, but free users can open only a limited number. When the limit runs out, the app offers a paid plan. The size of the free limit is not stated up front, and the terms say it may change.

Real exam mode: how close is it to the actual test

The official format is set by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 408 (as amended, October 2026): 20 questions, 25 minutes, and a pass requires at least 18 correct answers. We cover the exam itself in our article on the theory test.

Parameter Exam centre Oson Prava, Real exam
Questions 20 20, random ticket
Time 25 minutes, then the test closes automatically 25-minute timer (75 seconds per question), no automatic cut-off found
Pass mark 18 correct out of 20 the attempt stops at the third mistake
Answer order any any
Answer confirmation by pressing the key again on by default, can be turned off

The rules do not actually say the test stops at the third mistake. They say it ends when all questions are answered or time runs out. But with 18 out of 20 required, a third mistake means a fail anyway, so the app simply shows you the result earlier. To make practice closer to the real thing, turn on answer shuffling in the settings (so you stop relying on where the right answer sits) and keep an eye on the 25 minutes yourself.

Voice explanations

Every question has a recorded voice explanation. According to the team, a teacher with five years of experience recorded them. Each one covers the key words, the spots where people usually go wrong and how to find the answer. Free users can listen up to a limit, which goes up if you verify your phone number. Unlimited access starts with the Qora Gentra (Black Gentra) plan.

The drawback for Russian speakers: the voice explanations are in Uzbek only. Russian text explanations exist, but you will not get much from the audio.

Video lessons

The Malibu plan unlocks a "Darslik" section with 42 video lessons. They are grouped into modules by topic (the first module, for example, covers road signs in 7 lessons), with a practice set after each lesson. Since August 2026 lessons can be downloaded and watched offline. The Gelik plan adds a short video answer to every question, 13 videos on the practical exam, and a chat with a mentor six days a week from 9:00 to 21:00.

The videos are in Uzbek only too. If you are starting from scratch and find dry explanations hard to learn from, Malibu can replace part of a driving school's classroom lectures. If you already know the rules, the free tier is enough.

Oktagon: duels with other learners

Oktagon is a one-on-one online duel: 10 shared questions, 30 seconds each, with the answer options shuffled differently for each player. Wins raise your rank (bronze, silver, gold, brilliant), and you can challenge a friend with a link. The mode is free and unlimited.

It helps with motivation, especially if working through tickets bores you. But 30 seconds per question trains you to answer fast, while most exam mistakes come from careless reading. Oktagon is no substitute for full tickets.

3D driving range

Since September 2026 the app has included a driving range simulator, which the terms describe as a beta. The team says the course was modelled on the range at the Tashkent exam centre. It uses a manual gearbox and has exercises plus an exam mode with penalty points. Free time is limited: as of late September 2026, up to 30 minutes a day, with 5 minutes available straight away and the rest earned by solving tests. Unlimited access comes with Qora Gentra, and the category C and D truck and bus with Malibu.

The simulator will help you memorise the layout and the order of exercises. It will not give you the feel of a real car's clutch, mirrors and dimensions.

Offline use and languages

Tests work offline if you download the question images in the settings first (about 30 MB). Videos play offline only if downloaded, and Oktagon always needs a connection. The interface and questions are available in Uzbek (Latin and Cyrillic) and Russian.

Plans and prices as of October 2026

Prices were taken from the plan selection screen in the web app on 19 October 2026.

Plan What you get 1 week 1 month 2 months 3 months
Matiz full question bank, no ads, Oktagon; explanations and voice up to a limit free free free free
Qora Gentra unlimited voice explanations, the rule clause for each question, unlimited driving range 38,000 88,000 118,000 148,000
Malibu everything in Gentra, 42 video lessons with practice, categories C and D on the range 120,000 188,000 250,000 225,000
Gelik everything in Malibu, a video answer for each question, mentor chat, private group 200,000 288,000 328,000 388,000

Prices are in soʻm. The channel announces discounts almost every Friday, usually 10–25%. That explains why Malibu for 3 months was cheaper than for 2 months when we checked (the screen showed a discount from 300,000). Check the price in the app before paying.

How payment works:

  • only through the Telegram bot or the web app, with Payme or Click;
  • there are no in-app purchases in the App Store or Google Play;
  • payments are one-off, with no auto-renewal;
  • under the terms, money is not refunded once a plan is activated. The exception is a confirmed technical fault reported within 72 hours.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • the full question bank and exam mode are free, with no ads;
  • explanations link to the rule clause, plus a smart test and a strict 300-question readiness check;
  • it works the same in a browser, on a phone and in Telegram;
  • the question bank is updated often;
  • one-off payments with no automatic charges.

Cons:

  • voice explanations and videos are in Uzbek only;
  • free access to explanations and voice is capped;
  • the Telegram channel can feel like an ad feed, with "today only" discounts and countdowns almost every week;
  • exam mode does not close the test when the 25 minutes are up;
  • the driving range is still in beta and limited;
  • disputed answers are corrected by the platform's own team. If an answer looks odd, check it against the text of the rules.

How the alternatives differ

There is a detailed comparison in our separate article on driving theory prep platforms. Here is the short version. Pravachi has 1,285 questions, and its real exam mode (20 questions, 25 minutes, stops at the third mistake) is free and needs no account, while topic practice and mistake review are Premium. Onless presents itself as an online driving school: its exam mode gives 20 questions in 25 minutes, expert and audio breakdowns cover only some questions, and VIP comes with a free 24-hour trial. dan24 has 1,290 questions with explanations in Uzbek and Russian, but its full exam simulation and marathon mode are paid. You will find more options in our online learning catalogue.

Who Oson Prava suits, and when you still need a driving school

Since 1 February 2026, candidates for categories A and B may prepare for the theory test on their own, and Oson Prava does the job. The free tier is enough if you read the explanations and work through your mistakes instead of memorising pictures. As of October 2026, a first theory attempt at a unified exam centre costs 1.5 million soʻm and a retake 1.6 million, so one avoided retake pays for an extra week of preparation many times over. For a day-by-day plan, see our article on passing the theory test first time.

You cannot learn to drive online. Practical training takes place at a driving school, and on the exam centre's range you are assessed on real actions in a real car. It is worth choosing a school or an instructor from the start if you:

  • have never sat behind the wheel;
  • are nervous about city driving and heavy traffic;
  • struggle to study on your own: without a schedule, theory prep often drags on for months.

You can browse schools with addresses and programmes in our catalogue of driving schools in Tashkent or among instructors in Tashkent. If you would like us to match a school to your district and schedule, leave a request on the driving school matching form. We will call you back with a few options.

FAQ

Is Oson Prava free?

Mostly. As of October 2026 the full question bank, tickets, exam mode, mistake review and Oktagon duels are free and ad-free. Text and voice explanations are free up to a limit. Paid plans start at 38,000 soʻm a week, remove the limits and unlock video lessons and the driving simulator.

Are Oson Prava questions the same as on the real exam?

The platform is not official, and its own terms say wording, pictures or answer options may differ from the real test. Many people who passed say the questions matched, but you should learn the rules rather than memorise pictures.

How close is the Real exam mode to the actual test?

Close on the essentials: 20 questions from one ticket, a 25-minute timer, and the attempt stops at the third mistake, when 18 out of 20 is no longer possible. At the exam centre the test closes on its own when the 25 minutes are up. We found no such automatic cut-off in the app, so watch the clock yourself.

What language are the voice explanations and videos in?

Uzbek only. The interface and question texts are available in Uzbek (Latin and Cyrillic) and Russian. There is no English version.

Can I prepare with Oson Prava instead of a driving school?

For theory, yes. Since 1 February 2026, candidates for categories A and B may prepare for the theory test on their own. Driving is still taught at a driving school, and the app's 3D driving range does not replace it.

How do I pay, and can I get a refund?

Only through the @OsonPrava_Bot Telegram bot or the app.osonprava.uz web app, using Payme or Click. There are no in-app purchases in the App Store or Google Play. Payments are one-off with no auto-renewal, and as a rule they are not refunded once a plan is activated.
